Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Vanisco is developed and operated by Volodymyr Martyniuk (an individual developer), who is the data controller for the purposes of this policy.
Vanisco is built around a simple idea: your photos are yours. Everything the app does happens on your device. This policy explains exactly what data the app touches — and nothing in it leaves your phone.
1. What we don't do
- We do not require an account or registration.
- We do not collect analytics, usage statistics or advertising identifiers.
- We do not sell, share or monetize any personal data.
- We do not upload your photos anywhere, ever.
2. Your photos
Vanisco uses the system photo picker, so the app only ever sees the specific photos you choose to edit — never your whole library. Object detection, selection and removal are performed entirely on your device using local AI models (Apple Vision and bundled neural networks). Edited photos are saved back to your photo library using the system's add-only permission.
3. Permissions the app requests
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Photo picker (selected photos) | To open the photos you choose to edit. |
| Photo library — add only | To save your edited photos back to your library. |
4. Data retention
All edits, masks and processing history live only in the app's memory and on your device, and are discarded when you close the photo or delete the app. We retain nothing.
5. Children
Vanisco is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone.
6. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy (for example, when new features ship), we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
